Liturgy

Our parish gathers together to worship God, listen to the Scriptures, and celebrate the sacraments.  As a community of faith we also understand our obligations to our neighbours and seek to serve their needs as we would serve Christ.  We enjoy the company of other parishioners and meet in various activities to share our lives and the joy of Christian life. Participation in the life of our parish is important to all of us.  It is where we continue to grow as a parish.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

At the 10:00am Mass each Sunday, children are invited to participate in a special Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word begins with the Gospel reading for children.  An adult leader discusses with the children the basic meaning of the Gospel and explains in simple terms its foundation to our Catholic faith, and  dismissal back to the general congregation (usually during the offertory).  Adults are welcome to assist with this ministry. High school students are welcome to assist as junior helpers to assist the younger children.
